Bike MS: From Hope to a Cure

Ride with MS Team FedEx in the upcoming Bike MS: From Hope to a Cure Ride. Enjoy the wonders of biking for 2 glorious days on a scenic 126-mile route. Saturday, cyclists start from the Forest Service property at Mile Post 63 just south of Granite Creek USFS Campground on the left side of Seward Highway traveling to Seward. Enjoy riding through the beautiful mountains along Seward Highway into downtown Seward on 3rd Avenue, along Seward Highway to the finish at Mile Post 63, the starting site on Saturday.

Friday night until the end of the event on Sunday, limited participant parking will be available at the starting point with 24-hour security provided. Regular and handicap accessible portable toilets are available at both starting sites, all rest stops, and both finishing sites.

Volunteers will pamper cyclists along the course with Rest Stops on Saturday at the Hope/Seward Highway Junction Maintenance Station/Rest Stop, near Summit Lake, in Moose Pass, at Grayling Lake Trailhead and Sunday near Lakeview, near the Trail Lakes Fish Hatchery, near Summit Lake and at the Seward Highway Rest Stop just North of Seward/Hope Highways Junction. Support Vehicles, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Alaska Medical Support Team Ambulance Service, a team of EMT/Nurses and Bike Mechanics will provide support on the course. Shuttle service will be available past the 7 miles of Seward Highway with no shoulder on Saturday from Lawing to Primrose and on Sunday from the first Rest Stop near Lakeview to Lawing.

All rest stops, starting and finishing sites will be loaded with food and beverages. Saturday you will enjoy lunch, dinner and a reception. Sunday a continental breakfast and lunch will be available. Special room rates are available from several Seward hotels.
